Bought: Chanel Le Vernis Fall 2011 Quartz #525 & Graphite #529

OK, I bought 2 of the new Chanel 2011 coveted nail polishes, Quartz & Graphite. Both are lovely nail polishes with a metallic finish, thought not at all gritty. The Graphite pulls a lot of green on the nail, at least it did to my eye and against my skin tone. It applies really lovely and it extremely smooth to the touch. It wore very well for about 3 days and then began wear at the tips (do keep in mind, I'm extremely hard on my hands so this is pretty normal for me). My only issue is that I found it very hard to remove, used about 6 cotton pads and loads of remover...this is a negative in my books. The Quartz is a great cool neutral, metallic finish leans towards silver/taupe...a good "neutral" for Fall. It has a bit of oomph which lends it to not being boring. Applies OK, 2 coats covers well but I did notice some overlapping & streaking though nothing major. I think I prefer this of the 2...but I'm a bit more conservative. The new eyeliner, #70 Khaki Platine (LE) I have had for sometime already, it is very beautiful but very sheer...honestly I haven't reached for it much....I think it be lovely for the Fall months though so don't take this as a complete review just yet. Also picked up a new Laura Mercier gloss in Bare Blush. It's a YLBB shade for me, a milky taupe/nude...very pretty, but extremely nude...don't expect a lot of colour payoff. I'm a fan of the LM glosses and enjoy how they wear. Hope this helps someone! xo
